MondoForte is a blend of organic acids designed for swine. A blend that is particularly effective for pigs. Safe to use and ideal for piglets and young pigs up 30 kg in feed or in drinking water.
The blend contains high levels of sodium buffered formic acid that is innately suitable for several functions. Formic acid is one of the most studied organic acids that has proven time and again it’s strong antibacterial properties, particularly against gram negative bacteria like E. Coli and Salmonella.
Additionally, formic acid is well suited to lower pH. In young animals whose acid production is not fully developed, this is important for improving the function of pepsin, a gastric enzyme that functions best at lower pH.
MondoForte’s levels of lactic acid are particularly suitable for piglets that have high levels of lactic acid in their stomachs due to the transition from milk (lactose) to solids, while improving palatability.
